Write the perfect job description
A strong job description should only return a high calibre of candidates. The best way to get the right people interested is to write a detailed job description that outlines the job role in as much detail as possible. At the very least it should include:
- Job title
- A description of day-to-day tasks and responsibilities
- Required skills, experience and academic qualifications
- Location
- Remuneration
It should also state any other requirements, such as the need to submit a covering letter.
Advertise in the right places

Finally, getting a reference from a previous employer of the candidate will tell you if they are being honest about their work history. Doing this might even result in a candidate receiving a glowing report off an old boss, meaning you’re more likely to hire the right person than not.
